On Tuesday November 27th 2018, Nissan unveiled their plans for the future of their Nissan Intelligent Mobility strategy. It actually forms into a new plan of energy saving, transferability and energy renewability with their all electric vehicle like the Nissan Leaf. One of the pilot programs that was shown in relation to their new future ideals was the concept of the Nissan Leaf being able to power buildings with its low cost energy saving technology. Energy being transferred from cars to buildings and back again become beneficial to electricity costs and more so for the environment. Nissan Energy’s vision connects electric cars with homes, businesses and power grids; develops new ways to reuse batteries. Their vision extends to the idea of a working ecosystem of energy efficient sharing and production.

They hope to do this through key initiatives such as: Nissan Energy Supply, Nissan Energy Share and Nissan Energy Storage. The supply is in relation to how customers can charge while on the go or stopped away from home, where the main amount of charging would be located. The potential of sharing energy between vehicle to vehicle, vehicle to buildings or vehicle to homes gives more possibilities of linking vehicles to societies infrastructures for energy sharing and powering more and more. Storage is in relation to recycling the batteries to power other equipment because of the increase of lithium ion batteries in vehicles needing to be replaced over time.
