The Nissan Automatic Brake Hold System allows the driver to take their foot off the brake pedal while stopped at an intersection with a light or stop sign or while within traffic. This feature is available on most new 2019 models which we here at Alta Nissan Richmond Hill are getting more and more of everyday.

The system activates by pressing the brake hold button / switch. Once illuminated, the system is on.

You can see an “A” symbol with a circle around it on your dashboard, either displayed as white or green. While means the system is on but not actively holding the brakes. Green means the system is actively holding your brakes for you.

When you accelerate while the brakes are being actively held, the system will deactivate and appear white again, until you come to a complete stop where it will turn green once again.
