The Frontier receives a lot of interior upgrades, including a revised centre button design that looks appropriate for a truck in this class. And, a new steering wheel that resembles the one in the larger Titan truck. The Zero Gravity seats that Nissan has become known for are included and provide lots of creature comfort. Certain trim levels come with some unique and eye-catching interior colours, and there are some large, looping grab handles to use for exiting the truck.

The Frontier's exterior has a whole new design. The new styling is chic and more upright than before. There are also fresh LED taillights and an extra 12.7 cm in length added to the wheelbase. Overall, it gives the 2022 Frontier a huge push into leading its breed designs and makes for a bright spot in our new inventory.

Safety Features

Optional and standard safety features are available, for example, Forward-Collision Warning comes standard. However, adding the Nissan Safety Shield 360 package will give your Frontier an array of advanced driver aids. These driver aids include Blind-Spot Monitoring, a Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Automatic Emergency Braking, and a Lane Departure Warning. The remaining safety options include Adaptive Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition, and a Driver Alertness Monitor.

2022 Nissan Frontier Performance

Performance is probably the biggest reason why people buy trucks. This mid-size pick-up truck is powered by a single powertrain configuration: a 3.8-litre V6 (which musters up a smooth 310 horsepower and 281 lb-ft of torque) paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission. This powertrain can deliver a smooth, interrupted flow of power without the 9-speed showing any troubles with shifting between gears.

Rear-wheel drive comes standard on the Frontier, but you can opt for a four-wheel-drive system that comes with an electronically controlled two-speed transfer case. Additionally, the 4WD models come with hill descent control and a newly designed rear stabilizer bar that, joined to the bigger front bar, creates enhanced handling capabilities.

Of course, off-roading capabilities are an important part of any mid-size truck and The 2022 Nissan Frontier does not disappoint, with the return of the off-road-oriented Pro-4X model. Along with its Dana rear axle, it also has Bilstein shocks and all-terrain tires. There are also three steel skid plates, an electronic-locking rear differential, and standard 4WD.

Another addition is the brand-new Pro-X trim level. This trim is more of an off-road appearance package. It is RWD-only but has many of the Pro-4X's styling cues. It only has one skid plate, and there is no electronic-locking rear differential. This trim does have the Dana rear end, Bilstein dampers, and all-terrain tires.
