Nissan took advantage of the Tokyo Auto Salon to unveil the first update to the Z.

The Japanese automaker’s sports car is only entering its third year of production, yet it already benefits from a series of targeted improvements designed to refine its styling and optimize its road manners.

Z 2.0

The first thing that stands out on the new 2027 Nissan Z is its stunning green paint, which further highlights the car’s sharp lines. This new color is called Unryu Green. The sports coupe’s large front grille is now split in two by a transverse bar and features a more pronounced front deflector integrated into the bumper. These changes give the car a more imposing presence from the front while also improving aerodynamics. On certain trims, the rear spoiler has been removed to create a cleaner, more streamlined profile. Finally, Nissan has replaced its traditional badge with a Z emblem at the front, making the car even more distinctive.

The model also features newly designed five double-spoke wheels. The suspension has been recalibrated, which should improve performance on the track.

Inside, the Nissan Z offers a modern and elegant dashboard. A new beige interior color has been added, and it pairs particularly well with the new green exterior paint.

A Performance Car

There are no changes under the hood. The Japanese sports car continues to rely on the same 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine, producing 400 horsepower in standard form and 420 horsepower in the NISMO version. It’s also worth noting that a manual transmission has now been added to the NISMO lineup.

The North American version of the 2027 Nissan Z is expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks, a highly anticipated presentation.
